Peaceful Moments

Peaceful Moments

My Favorite Quote About Life

happiness is a journey, not a destination...
for a long time it seemed to me
that life was about to begin --real life,
but there was always some obstacle in the way,
something to be gotten through first,
some unfinished business,
time still to be served, a debt to be paid.
at last it dawned on me
that these obstacles were my life.
this perspective has helped me to see
there is no way to happiness.
happiness is the way.
so treasure every moment you have
and remember that time waits for no one.

As you can probably tell by now....

I like verses and quotes. It's hard not to, they can boost you up, make you cry, make you think, kinda like a Hallmark card.

Something to ponder...

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
Love the people who treat you right.
Forget about the ones who don't.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance,
grab it with both hands.

If it changes your life, let it.
Nobody said life would be easy.
They just promised it would be worth it.

In Loving Memory of Ms. Hilma

If ever there was a woman of virtue it would be Ms. Hilma. As Collosians 3:12-14 reflects: Therefore, as God's chosen people Holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all the virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Take a breath -- enjoy the moment

It sometimes may seem that life is overwhelming -- but that's life. Learn to take a breath -- and breathe -- things are never as bad as they seem. If you have to make a list of the good in your life then do it.

Spending time with my boy...

Easter was a hoot! I spent it with family -- my boy had a blast putting his eggs in his basket. Every now and then he would throw them back and keep walking. Next year when he realizes something great (chocolate) might be in them I don't think he will throw them back. What a Blessing!
